Firstly, welcome to my website! I am so excited that you have landed here. Thank you for dropping by and exploring the essence of the mermaid and getting to know me.
My name is Romina Lee - anyone who loves me calls me Mina (she/her). I was born in Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire in England. I migrated to Australia when I was 15 years young with my beautiful family, that is my parents, my sister and my two brothers.
I currently live in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia and I would like to acknowledge the Miriwoong Gajerrong people who are the Traditional Custodians of the land, the past, present and emerging.
I am a mother to three incredible daughters and a nonna to two beautiful grandchildren, all of whom break my heart open with pride every day. Motherhood and connecting to my matriarchal lineage continues to be the gateway into greater depth and wisdom - my daughters have been my greatest teachers and I am forever grateful.
I have a Bachelor of Social Sciences - Sociology and I have worked within the human services industry for over 25 years. I have specialised personally and professionally in trauma-informed practices, family and domestic violence, community services work, child protection, working with women, children, and their families.
Like many of you, I have been continuously initiated into the deeper realms of self from a young age. I have explored a variety of teachings, spirituality and trainings that have changed and influenced me deeply. I have explored modalities like nude yoga, meditation, ritual, ecstatic dance, counseling, reiki and more. When I started to dive into teaching how others could connect to their wisdom, I sought out other professional facilitators. Some of these include:

I am a daughter, a mother, a stepmother, a nonna, a sister, an aunty, a friend, a lover, I am a sovereign woman and my mermaid is awakened within.
The mermaid came to me in 2019, and the analogy followed soon after. I started to draw them and then they just kept coming. The mermaid was showing up everywhere - in my dreams, in my daily activities, when I went to the shops, online, talking to people - she just kept coming through.
To many mermaids are merely a mythological creature, a story, a thing of the imagination, yet to me they have a deeper truth, meaning, and knowing. They are a representation of the inner wisdom and magic of a woman, they symbolise depth, uniqueness, power, strength, resiliency, and authenticity. The mermaid in my eyes is something that is within each and every one of us as women, and she is waiting in the waves to be invited to come out to play.
The mermaid brings with her an inner knowing; the voice of reason that says you are worthy, you are enough, you are loved, you are wild, you are wonderful and you are free. The inner mermaid is within each woman and she is waiting to come out to play, to be awakened from within so that she can show you the way.

The mermaid is not for the faint hearted as she loves to dive to the depths of the ocean in all her glory. She is unapologetically fierce, loud and proud, with a sprinkle of gentleness, compassion and kindness. She is not afraid of diving deeply into herself, her emotions, her feelings, and her presence here on earth, in fact she is powerfully excited to be fully showing up, living and breathing from her true space and place of her heart's connection, her inner knowing. The mermaid in her finest form is alive, she remembers and she lives from a place of deep integrity and true authenticity. Talk about the chaos and the madness of the feminine essence.
The mermaid is a living and breathing embodied truth from your heart. She is the feeling of remembering, and of coming home to you. When you awaken your mermaid within you will be left asking yourself the question how could I have not known all this time that you were here, so deep within me. When the mermaid within is summoned to come and play, her tail will splash so damn hard out of that water that everyone far and wide will see. She will be confident, yet humble, shy yet full of joyfulness and glee, and most of all she will be happy to know that she is not alone as she looks around her and sees that there are many other mermaids beside her. She is aware for the first time in her life that she is not alone, and that many others like her exist which is exhilarating. The mermaid, she already knows so much deeply within her heart and soul and she wants to be seen, to be heard, to be held here, for once the mermaid is awakened and she knows no fear.
The mermaid she lies but deep within, she is magical, she is wild and she knows she doesn’t quite fit in. The mermaid is unique, she is powerful and she is strong, the mystery of her life is her story that is yet to be told. As she moves through the ocean, one wave at a time she reminds us we are all beautiful and divine. It is time for the mermaids to rise once again, the matriarchal mermaid movement that you have just called in, yes. Please join us in union as sisters, as one, as we swim through the depths of the ocean, each of us loving one another as one. The mermaids are your sisters, they are also here to find their way, connect to your hearts and ask how can we love each other more deeply as we dive in today.
